“From the beginning of my own practice, I felt a profound difference in my stress level. Having suffered from panic attacks since the age of 12, I found that nothing worked well…therapy, biofeedback, medication. After my first year of yoga, the panic attacks completely disappeared.
And as a survivor of multiple traumas, I know how difficult it is to live in a world where perceived threats seem to exist everywhere. The mind-body practices I’ve adopted and made an integral part of my life continue to help me function on a daily basis and maintain a sense of wholeness and equilibrium, and I am committed to sharing these practices with my clients, as well as other teachers and therapists.
Suzanne was one of the first graduates to receive a Master of Science Degree in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, Maryland. Suzanne is committed to helping people who suffer with mental health issues while holding a safe space in order to move through all levels of emotion and thought. She believes much of the healing process can happen through the practice of movement, breath, and mindfulness, and strongly believes that we can tap into our inner resource to create a sense of well-being. The tools of yoga therapy can empower people to navigate the currents of mental and emotional challenges and to feel more at peace with themselves and more connected to the world around them. Suzanne offers these tools in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment.

“Suzanne is an inspirational teacher, and her wisdom and knowledge of yoga are what helps me get the most out of yoga. (Edith C., 70 years young)
“I started yoga as a way to address a painful and chronic illness. The overall experience has helped me achieve a spiritual goal of ‘staying in the moment.’ Suzanne’s knowledge and energy are inspiring. (Ted S.)
“When I began studying with Suzanne, I was recovering from personal loss, physical illness and depression. Her healing energy and inner light enveloped me and switched on the healing energy inside me. My connection with her helped me regain my wholeness as a human being. If I were a Miss America contestant and asked what my goal was, I would say, ‘For all beings to experience yoga with Suzanne,’ which would be the same as saying, ’World peace – and here’s how to attain it.’” (Leah R.)
“I had private yoga with Suzanne, who I found to be expert in her yoga and teaching skills. She is also a warm, caring person. She was also very professional with how she ran her business. I would use her again and definitely recommend her to anyone. (Loraine P.)
“Suzanne took the time to assess my physical health and any limitations I may have prior to instructing me in yoga. She tailored our sessions to meet my individual needs. Suzanne is highly skilled and a genuinely warm and caring person. I respect her for her character and her ability. (Mary G.)
